The Extraordinary Object 2026
From June 3 to 6, 2026, the 48th edition of L’Objet Extraordinaire will take place in the Carré Rive Gauche. For four days, the iconic streets of the Left Bank — from Rue du Bac to Quai Voltaire, including Rue des Saints-Pères, Rue de Lille, and Rue de Beaune — will become a true cultural itinerary, where galleries will welcome visitors into this emblematic Parisian district.With nearly 50 participating galleries, the event offers an exceptional panorama ranging from ancient civilizations to contemporary creations, bringing together medieval sculpture, design, modern painting, Japanese ceramics, and historic furniture. This dialogue between eras illustrates the richness and diversity of the expertise represented within the neighborhood.More than just an event, the Carré Rive Gauche presents itself as a vibrant place open to all audiences: collectors, professionals, art enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike. The Carré Rive Gauche Creates Its Own Museum!
Extending the unique experience of the Carré Rive Gauche, the district hosted the event entitled “Le Carré Rive Gauche fait son musée” from June 11 to 14, 2025.During this event, the sixty galleries of the Carré Rive Gauche extended their opening hours to the public, showcasing the richness and diversity of their specialties, ranging from decorative arts and antiques to design and contemporary art. By encouraging exchanges between gallery owners, collectors, art enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike, this initiative helped make the art world more accessible to a wider audience.Through eight thematic itineraries, thousands of visitors were able to explore the neighborhood. In addition, a series of free conferences open to all was also organized. Through this exceptional program, the Carré Rive Gauche demonstrated its significant contribution to the Parisian cultural and artistic scene.
