From June 3 to June 6 2026, the Carré Rive Gauche will host the 48th edition of L’Objet Extraordinaire.

Over the course of these four days, the iconic streets of the Carré Rive Gauche—from Rue du Bac to Quai Voltaire, via Rue des Saints-Pères, Rue de Lille, and Rue de Beaune—will be transformed into a true cultural trail.

Participating galleries will invite visitors to discover their unique worlds and treasures within this historic and prestigious Parisian district.

The festivities will begin with an opening reception on Wednesday, June 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., across all participating galleries. Visitors will then have the opportunity to explore the exhibitions presented throughout the event.

Private tours of the participating galleries will be organized from June 4 to June 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., departing every thirty minutes. This edition will also feature two special lectures.

On June 5 at 3:00 p.m., on the first floor of Bistrot de Paris, 33 Rue de Lille, 75007 Paris, Hélène Bonafous-Murat, member of the National Company of Experts (Compagnie Nationale des Experts), will present a lecture entitled “The Signature in Art.”

Participating galleries will invite visitors to discover their unique worlds and treasures within this historic and prestigious Parisian district.

On June 6 at 11:00 a.m., on the first floor of Bistrot de Paris, 33 Rue de Lille, 75007 Paris, Ariane James-Sarazin, Chief Heritage Curator, and Sophie Motsch, Curatorial Assistant at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (17th–18th Century Department and Nissim de Camondo Collections), will give a presentation entitled “A Day in the 18th Century – Chronicle of a Private Mansion,” offering an overview of the exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.

Among the highlights of this edition, ALB Antiquités, located at 6 Rue de Beaune, will present an exhibition entitled “Black, White and Grey.” The gallery is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Galerie Michèle Hayem, at 5 Rue de Beaune, will showcase the works of artist Robin Penalva in an exhibition entitled “Mirrors and Medallions.” The gallery welcomes visitors on Mondays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m..
