About
The Delalande Gallery was founded by Mr. Dominique Delalande and was present as early as 1978 at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris with an initial gallery devoted to maritime objects and scientific instruments.
Over time, the gallery also specialized in collectible walking sticks, tobacco-related objects and opium-related items, as well as curiosities.
The gallery has organized numerous thematic exhibitions on its various areas of expertise (“The Flower of Evil,” “Opium Memories,” “Sundials,” and “Hourglasses of the Past”) and has published books that are now internationally recognized references.
The strength of the team lies in its commitment to always strive for the highest level in each of its areas of expertise.
Coming from a family of collectors, the Delalande team has been active in the art market since the opening of its first marine gallery at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris 48 years ago. Its drive for expansion led Mr. Dominique Delalande to open a second “Marine & Sciences” gallery in New York in the 1980s, and to take part in numerous major events such as the Biennale des Antiquaires from 1982, as well as its first participation in TEFAF Maastricht in 2013.
The strength of the team lies in its commitment to always striving for the highest level in each of its areas of expertise (marine and scientific objects, collectible walking sticks, tobacco and opium-related objects, and cabinets of curiosities).
From June 2015 onwards, Eric and Anna Delalande established themselves in the heart of the Carré Rive Gauche. They are keen to maintain close relationships with their collector friends and museum curators who share the same passions, and whom they meet every year in March at TEFAF Maastricht.
