About
The Galerie Delalande was founded by Mr. Dominique Delalande and was first established in 1978 at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris, with an initial focus on maritime objects and scientific instruments. Over time, the gallery also specialized in collectible walking sticks, tobacco-related objects, opium-related artifacts, and curiosities.
The gallery has organized numerous thematic exhibitions dedicated to its various areas of expertise (“La Fleur du Mal,” “Mémoires d’Opium,” “Cadrans solaires,” and “Sabliers d’autrefois”) and has published books that are now considered international references.
Eric and Anna Delalande remain deeply engaged with collectors and museums around the world, whom they meet each year in March at TEFAF Maastricht, as well as in their two galleries located in the Carré Rive Gauche in Paris.
The strength of the team lies in its commitment to always strive for the highest level in each of its areas of expertise.
Coming from a family of collectors, the Delalande team has been active in the art market since the opening of its first maritime gallery at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris 48 years ago. Its ambition for expansion led Mr. Dominique Delalande to open a second “Marine & Sciences” gallery in New York in the 1980s and to participate in major events such as the Biennale des Antiquaires from 1982, as well as its first participation in TEFAF Maastricht in 2013.
The strength of the team lies in its constant pursuit of excellence across all its fields of expertise (Marine & Scientific objects, collectible walking sticks, tobacco and opium-related objects, and cabinet of curiosities).
Within this context, the team has organized exhibitions such as “La Fleur du Mal – Five Centuries of Art Objects Related to Tobacco,” “Mémoires d’Opium,” “Pocket and Table Sundials,” and “Sabliers d’autrefois.” These internationally oriented events have each been accompanied by reference publications, including one on astrolabes, published for the occasion of TEFAF Maastricht 2020.
Eric and Anna Delalande settled in the heart of the Carré Rive Gauche in June 2015. They are committed to maintaining close relationships with collector friends and museum curators who share the same passions and whom they meet each year in March at TEFAF Maastricht.
