About
First a collector for nearly 15 years, Bertrand de Lavergne became, in 1985, a dealer in Ancient East Asian art at the Louvre des Antiquaires, where he worked for 30 years. He then opened his gallery in the Carré Rive Gauche, which brings together around a hundred art galleries.
Today, Bertrand de Lavergne enters his forty-first year as an antique dealer and art merchant. He is the director of the Galerie Bertrand de Lavergne and a member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, the Royal Chamber of Antiquarians of Belgium, and the Compagnie Nationale des Experts, as well as the CNES (National Chamber of Specialized Experts in Collectible Art Objects) and CECOA (European Chamber of Art Experts and Consultants).
He is also a member of the International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society, an American association based in Baltimore, and of the European Association of Chinese Snuff Bottle Collectors. In addition, he is one of the founders and the secretary-general of the Association of Specialists in Collectible Ceramics.

The gallery, located in the prestigious Carré Rive Gauche in Paris at 17 Rue des Saints-Pères, focuses primarily on Chinese art.
Its field of expertise covers Chinese export porcelain, Chinese porcelain, a wide variety of snuff bottles, painted enamels, cloisonné works, and fine hardstone objects of high quality. The gallery supports both private collectors and museum institutions in enriching their collections.
It also takes part in events such as the Carré Rive Gauche program, the Paris Ceramic Trail, and the Printemps Asiatique, and has participated in the Salon du Collectionneur and the Biennale des Antiquaires at the Grand Palais in Paris, as well as for 20 years in the Brussels Art Fair (BRAFA) in Brussels.
