About
Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the heart of Carré Rive Gauche, 1831 Art Gallery is a meeting place for collectors, artists, and professionals in architecture and design. It is a distinctive gallery founded in 2014 by Jean-Louis Herlédan, a graduate of the École Estienne – École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Graphiques, and directed by Benedetta Battocchio.
A taste for decorative arts, modernist architecture, as well as an ethnic touch, inspires the curatorial approach of 1831 Art Gallery. The gallery organizes thematic exhibitions featuring contemporary artists from around the world. It is also deeply involved in promoting the French art scene internationally and collaborates with numerous partner galleries, institutions, and foundations.
