Rare suspension en terre cuite émaillée représentant un petit singe
aux yeux en sulfure de verre, agrippant d’une main un anneau où coulisse
une cordelière et tenant de l’autre l’éclairage constitué d’un
abat-jour à franges (récent) contenant une ampoule électrique.
Ce petit singe est probablement une production de la poterie du
Mesnil de Bavent (Normandie), de la première moitié du XXème siècle.
Rare glazed terracotta pendant featuring a small monkey with glass
sulfide eyes, holding a ring with a sliding cord in one hand and a
(recent) fringed shade containing a light bulb in the other.
This little monkey is probably a production of the Mesnil de Bavent pottery (Normandy), from the first half of the 20th century.
